A & G Taylor had studios throughout Britain. Here is
a cabinet print from their Edinburgh studio.
Cabinet prints were photographs, popular in
the late 19th century. They were mounted on card measuring approx
5.5 ins x 4 ins, usually with details of the photographer and his studio
on the back of the card.
Thank you to Derek Orange, Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland for
allowing me to reproduce two photos from A & G Taylor's studio in
Edinburgh. These come from his family collection, found in an old
photograph album left by his grandfather.
