'The World'

The Ship

The ship, ''The World' is a luxury cruise liner, with 110 owner-occupied residences.  It was launched in 2002 and sails around the world, stopping in most ports for between two and five days.  The photograph above was taken on the ship's first visit to Edinburgh.

This BBC web site page refers to the route being taken by 'The World'.  The ship sailed into Leith Harbour, Edinburgh from Newcastle, then sailed on to the Norwegian fjords.

'Spirit of Adventure'

The Ship

The ship, 'Spirit of Adventure' is a small cruise liner (9,570 tons), built in 2006.

Sailing

'Spirit of Adventure'  moored at Leith Western Harbour, in front of 'The World' from 7am  until 6.30pm on June 14, 2011.
