Here, one
of two groups of walkers has reached King George V Playing Fields, one of
several such sites established throughout Britain following the death of
King George V in 1936.
This site
has an interesting history. In the 19th Century, the Royal Scottish
Gymnasium was on this site
Canonmills
House can be seen top-centre in this 1870 map. Eyre Place is the
