Roads Closed

For most of 2009, Princes Street between Waverley Bridge and the West End, is closed to traffic to allow preparation work to be carried out for Edinburgh's new tram system, due to begin in 2011 (or possibly 2012, as it is currently running behind schedule).

Princes Street is due to re-open to traffic in November 2009.

The first track was laid in Princes Street, between the West End and Frederick Street, was laid last month, June 2009.
