West Granton Access

Thank you to Miles Cumming for sending me two photos of West Granton Access under construction.  The photos were probably taken around 1999 or  2000.

West Granton Access is a new road that follows the track of the old Caledonian railway line towards Granton Harbour. 

West Granton Access runs:

-  FROM: a point west of Crewe Toll Roundabout

- TO: the junction of West Granton Road and Caroline Park Avenue.  Caroline Park Avenue is now part of the Edinburgh Waterfront development.

In the background are two of Granton's three gasometers (or gasholders).  Only the one on the left has survived.
