| This
view looks down from Cramond Esplanade, over the River Almond at low tide.
This spot, close to where the ferry used to take walkers across the Almond to
the Duke of Buccleuch's Dalmeny estate for the five mile walk to the Forth
Bridges, is now popular for feeding the swans. Are
there any plans for the ferry to start operating again.  It last operated
before the 'Foot & Mouth Disease' restrictions, but now I believe that one or
both of the landing stages have been declared unsafe. |
