Permit to Enter Leith Docks

" My grandfather, William Tyrell, was exempt from call-up for World War I because of his occupation.  He was a hammerman, riveting ships in Leith Docks.

William Tyrell, owner of the Permit to Enter Leith Docks , above,  is on the left in this photo, dressed in his scout uniform.  He was Leader of 1st Leith Scouts.  The Photo was taken in 1925.
