Princes Street

This view looks along Princes Street towards the National Galleries at the foot of The Mound.

The photo, taken in Autumn 1963 includes an interesting collection of cars waiting at the junction, probably controlled by Police as there were no traffic lights there then.

I recognise a Morris Minor, Jaguar, Ford Anglia and Morris shooting brake.
Can anybody tell me what model and year the red car, in front of the bus, is?

I think the red car in the photo is a Sunbeam Talbot Alpine convertible.

The other vehicles, not mentioned above, are:

-  an Austin A55 Cambridge van between the Jaguar and the Ford Anglia.

-  a Bedford CA van, just visible behind the Morris Traveller.

-  the rear of a Series 3 Morris Oxford, on the extreme right.
These are still in production in India as Hindustan Ambassadors.

The bus is a Leyland Titan PD2.
