Photographic Collection
It has been announced that
Richard Demarco's collection of 700,000 photographs, is to be housed in a
new centre to be created at Lady Glenorchy Parish Church.
Richard Demarco has played
a major role in developing the Edinburgh Festival. His
photographs include artists, musicians and theatre companies. The
collection is valued at about £1m.
Glenorchy Parish Church is
on the corner of Drummond Street and Roxburgh Place in the South Side of
Edinburgh. Until recently the building was owned by Edinburgh
University.
