This Photographic View Album of Edinburgh was one of a series of albums published by Valentine & Sons Ltd around the 1890s.

Thank you to Jess Lovatt, Chesterfield, Derbyshire for telling me about one of these Photographic View Albums, that appears to be a little different, the printer and photographer is Valentine & Sons of Dundee, but they are nod identified as being the publishers of the book.

"Today I came across a book entitled 'Views of Ashburne & Dovedale. Published by C.Hales, Ashburne'.

On the back page it says:
'Photographed and printed by Valentine & Sons Ltd, Dundee'.

There are 16 photos in total.  The spelling of Ashburne rather than Ashbourne is interesting."

"I live in Chesterfield, not too far from Ashbourne.

I actually bought the book as we got married in Dovedale at Ilam Hall a year and a half ago and I love the area."
