Date of the Book "I've inherited this book from my Nan. She was born in 1914, but many of her books date from the late-1800s. There are no real clues about the date of this book, other than the photos. The most useful of which shows the Bristol Library, but with no archway attached to it. Hi Nick: 1. You'll see that other books in this series have been dated between 1895 and 1910. 2. Photos can be helpful in demonstrating that a book must have been published after a given date, BUT cannot prove that a book must have been published before a given date. Sometimes Valentines used photos taken several years earlier in the postcards and books that they published. Peter Stubbs: August 12, 2013 |
