Thank you to Scott Wright for allowing me to reproduce this photo of the fire at East Pilton that destroyed the Bruce Peebles transformer factory at East Pilton on April 12, 1999.

The factory never re-opened at East Pilton.  The company moved to new premises at Leith Docks and the land at East Pilton was redeveloped as housing.
