Wilson, formerly of Edinburgh and now living in Aberdeen, Scotland,
for allowing me to reproduce his photograph looking down the
Canongate (part of Edinburgh's Royal Mile) towards the Canongate
Tolbooth with its clock high above the pavement.
This photo, taken in
1963, shows an interesting collection of parked vehicles, typical of
the 1960s, but no other traffic in the street.
Canongate kirk and
kirkyard lies behind the railings in the distance, on the
left-hand side of the road.
