Thank you to Keith Grant for allowing me to reproduce this cabinet print of a rugby team. The photo was taken by Alexander Ayton. I believe it would be likely to be Alexander Ayton Junior. He was President of Edinburgh Photographic Society in 1894, and took many photos of groups. Keith wrote: |

The Team "As far as I can make out, 14 of the players have caps with them, and the player centre back is obviously wearing a Scotland jersey. I thought that it may be an Edinburgh Academical or Edinburgh Wanderers side, but I'm just guessing. I'd be really grateful if you or any of your viewers could shed some light on it.""
