Dalhousie Castle

Dalhousie Castle is near Bonnyrigg in Midlothian, close to the River South Esk, about 8 miles to the south-east of Edinburgh.

The castle dates back to the 13th century, though little of the original building survives.  Most of the present building, now Dalhousie Castle Hotel, was built around 1450.
