Thank you to Angus

watercolour sketch of Telford's Dean Bridge, crossing the Water of Leith

Dean Bridge
Dean Bridge crosses
the valley of the Water of Leith, about 100 ft above the river,
close to Dean Village. It was completed in 1831, and now
lies within Edinburgh New Town, on the A90 road from the West
End of Princes Street to the Forth Bridge and the North.

I was particularly
interested to see some of Angus Sutherland's sketches, as they were
painted by Peter Ingram Weir who painted this
watercolour of Granton Harbour that I bought at auction earlier
in 2013, following its return from Australia..
