Stereographic Company

Blind Stamp

Thank you to Peter Blair for sending me this enlargement of an 'Edinburgh Stereographic Company' blind stamp that appears on some of his stereoscopic views.

Blind stamp for Edinburgh Stereographic Company

A blind stamp is an embossed impression, made without using ink.  It was added by some photographers to their stereo views, including:

-  Lennie, 46 Princes Street, Edinburgh

-  WG Patterson, 34 Frederick Street, Edinburgh

Peter Blair is trying to discover more about the Edinburgh Stereographic Company.

Do you have any information about the Company that I can pass on to him?  If you do, please email me.

Thank you.    Peter Stubbs,  December 8, 2010
