Date of Postcards?

A little more research will be needed to discover the dates of the postcards in this set.

Gosman's shop remained in the position on the left, on the corner of Inverleith Row and Ferry Road for several decades.

Can anybody tell me what model of van that is in the centre of the photo?

Gosman's Fruitier

Gosman's Fruitier shop can be seen on the extreme left of the photo on this postcard, at 2 Montagu Terrace.  Before moving to 2 Montagu Terrace, Gosman's was in the same street, but just over a hundred yards further to the south the same street, near the corner of Goldenacre Terrace.  See below.

According to old editions of the Edinburgh & Leith Post Office Directory:

-  Gosman's was at 27 Montagu Terrace in 1920, possibly earlier.

-  The shop moved to 25 Montagu Terrace in 1922.

-  It moved again,  to 2 Montagu Terrace in 1926, and remained there until the 1970s or later.

So the photograph above must have been taken in 1926 or later.  This series of postcards includes views of houses in the Boswall estate.  They look to me to be fairly new at the time the photos were taken.

So, I suggest that the photos in this series would probably have been taken in the late 1920s.

Looking up in the Edinburgh & Leith Post Office Directory to see when the postcard publisher, Burns Stationery Dept, was based at Goldenacre might help to narrow down the date when these photos were taken.
