Allan  Dodds, who took the photo above, wrote:

Lunch aboard the Ben Line Ships

"My Uncle worked for the Ben Line Shipping Company at their Head Office in Queen Street.

Because he was friendly with Captain Liston, we would always be invited to a Sunday lunch aboard whichever ship was docked at Leith. I know that all the chefs were Chinese.

I've been aboard:

-  The Benvorlich

-  The Benvrackie."
