61 Years' Service Thank you to Danny Callaghan for sending me a copy of the retirement scroll awarded to his father when he officially retired from St Cuthbert's Co-operative Association in 1973. Danny added that his father worked for the co-op for a total of 61 years (including war service). He worked: - from the age of 14 in 1922 until his official retirement at age 65 in 1973 - then continued as part-time janitor until about the age of 75 in 1983.
