John also sent me a copy of a
photograph of this type of bus - No.164, an AEC Y-type with solid tyres, ordered by
Edinburgh Corporation Motors in 1920 for the cable car replacement
programme.
The photo comes from the
Robert Grieve Archive, now held by the Scottish Motor Museum Trust.
It is the second photo on the top line of thumbnail images on this page of
