Waverley Market Carnival

"This photo was taken at the Waverley Market Carnival, around 1955.

The adult was an Edinburgh detective, who was a member of the Baptist Church at Abbeyhill.  I cannot remember his name.  He was emigrating to Australia.  The photo was taken by his wife.

You'll notice that the crowd of lads are older than me.  That's because I wormed my way into the leaving treat.  I must apologise for not being able to remember all the names now, but I do remember some.
