Thank you to Jimmy White for sending me this photograph taken somewhere in Gilmerton, around 1950. Jimmy tells me that, sadly, Jimmy's sister, Irene, passed away at the early age of 44, but he now has another sister, June Here are some of Jimmy's recollections of living in Gilmerton and of the Gilmerton Homing Club which raised funds for the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust following Irene's death. |
