Other Venues

Graeme Taylor writes:

"When I first joined 'The Moonrakers', we played in the Quorn Club, high above Leith Street.

Later, we moved to other Edinburgh clubs:

- The Abano in Waterloo Place (for a few months)

-  The Bowler & Brolly (where?)

-  The Gonk at Fountainbridge THEN

-  McGoos in the Royal Mile where large pictures of the performing group would be displayed on the wall.

We also played in St Serf's Church Hall, Blackhall Church Hall and other church halls around Edinburgh."

Bowler & Brolly Club

Thank you to Lenny Toshack for telling me that the ' Bowler And Brolly club' was, in fact, the new name that was given to The Gonk club.
