- PHOTO 1  was taken looking to the east along Forth Street towards Broughton Street.  The lamp post is outside Radio Forth Studios, on the south side of the street.

- PHOTOS 2, 3, 4 were taken from the East end of the street, at the junction with Union Street, looking back towards Broughton Street.  These lamp posts are on the south side of the street. 1  was taken looking to the east along Forth Street.

Changes

The appearance of the two remaining street lamps of design 101 has changed considerably since the days when they were installed as gas lights with lanterns as shown in the 1937 MacKenzie & Moncur catalogue above.

I was interested to see that the three lamp posts on the south side of the street were all quite different from each other.
