Thomson, just after he was married. was taken in the back garden
of his new home in Fraser Grove in September 1927.
The photo
was taken before the villas were built in Boswall Drive.
The Fraser Grove houses were
amongst the first
Scottish National Housing, steel constructed, 3-bedroom 'Weir
Villas' to be built.
Like the WW2 'prefabs' they had
an original estimated life of
20 years,
but they have now stood
for almost 80 years!"
