Princes Street

This photograph appears to have been taken from one of the balconies on the buildings in Princes Street, between Hanover Street and Frederick Street.

The statue close to the centre of the picture is the monument ot the Royal Scots Greys, in Princes Street Gardens, opposite the junction of Princes Street and Frederick Street.

In the distance, on the right-hand side of the picture are the spire of St Cuthbert's Church with the Caledonian Hotel behind it.
