Ally McGurk who provided this photo writes: View from our Window "This photo was taken by my dad out of our front window on a snowy day, showing the corner of Warrender Park Road and Whitehouse Loan. Notice the cars - the one on the far side of the road looks like my pall's mum's car - a Ford Cortina with 'Ban the Bomb' tail lights. Notice the trees, many of which are long gone including the lovely old willow on the right of the picture. Notice the building behind the wall - this is the old stable block that occupied part of the land where James Gillespies Primary School's new building was built." Ally McGurk, March 10, 2007 |
