The
Photographic Society of Great Britain met monthly from about October to June each year.
An
edition of The Photogrpahic Journal was published in each of these months.

Content
The first edition each year included all entries in the Society's
Annual Exhibition, held at 5a, Pall Mall, East.
Subsequent editions each year included some long technical papers on
the chemistry and optics of photography. Capt. W de W Abney was a
regular contributor.

Early Discoveries In the
1876-1885 editions of The Photographic
Journal, I found only occasional references to Edinburgh or elsewhere
in Scotland. However, In
1884, The Photographic Journal published two tables of "Discoveries
Regarding Action of Light".
