Shoe Shop
"This one is
for the ladies!
Does any lady of
a certain age remember Benny's in the 1950s? It was a small
independent ladies' shoe shop, just past the Usher Hall up Lothian
Road.
No, I'm not a
cross dresser. The reason I remember it is that my girlfriend
of the time would often look longingly in their window at the unique
selection of high-heeled shoes on display, but they were very
expensive at the time.
Patterned-heel
nylons were fashionable at the time, with little butterfly or flower
arrangements. I'd better leave it at that or my disclaimer
will lose all credibility (LOL)."
