1960s The Deacon's Den "While working in one of my waitressing jobs in the early-1960s at the Calton Hotel, North Bridge, our place for a nighcap was the Deacon's Den in Cockburn Street, where you went downstairs into a sort of cavern where the pub atmosphere was wonderful. Is it still there?"
