I worked in the Engine Shop.

My job was to strip down Gardner diesel
engines and overhaul them, and also repair them in situ. on
ERF trucks."

resurfaced, and new valve seats fitted. Others who worked there, were:

The Bosses
"The bosses, Andrew
and James were both gentlemen. Sons David and Alistair took over,
but sadly, due to bad under-management,
the firm folded.
I was made redundant, then was declared
disabled, so never worked again."
