1861-1880

The activities of EPS and other early photographic societies  were reported in the British Journal of Photography and other photographic journals.

1880-1926

The EPS monthly Transactions, first published in 1880 continued until 1926.  These gave detailed accounts of the Society’s recent activities and forthcoming events.

1926-1950

Reports of the activities of EPS and other affiliated societies were published in the Edinburgh Journal – the journal of The Royal Scottish Society of Arts  - usually 3 issues per year.

Since 1947

EPS has published its The EPS Bulletin, normally 3 or 4 issues per year, more recently 2 issues per year.

Early editions of the Bulletin were each a single typed sheet.

Later editions of the Bulletin were larger, with photos.
