I have two photographs that are crown copyright:

1.  Aerial View of Edinburgh - RAF photo - still to be added to the site.

2.  Last train at Barnton.  I have been given Crown Copyright permission to include this photograph on the site.  There is a name 'A G Ellis on the back of my copy of this photograph.  I have not been able to discover who A G Ellis was.  Was he the photographer or was he the original owner of this photo.  If you know how to contact A G Ellis, please email me.  Thank you.

A G Ellis

Thank you to Donald Cattanach, Blackhall Edinburgh for providing information about A G Ellis.

"I don't know if you've solved your A G Ellis puzzle.

A G Ellis was a well known railway photographer.  I don't know whether he is still alive - I guess not.   At one time, his collection was being handled by his son Bruce.  A friend of mine (Andrew Hajducki) worked with him in finding photos for his Oakwood Press book on the North Berwick and Gullane branches, published in 1992.

I see that Transport Treasury at Insch, Aberdeenshire, say they hold some of his negatives.  Barry Hoper, who runs it, is very knowledgeable."
