Ian Smith was a press photographer, based at 8 York Place from
1911 until 1949. A photograph of a
coach and horses, in the 'Where is it?' section of
the EdinPhoto web site has Ian Smith's name on the back, though
I don't know whether copyright of this photo belongs to Ian or
to Scotsman Publications Ltd.
