Thank you to Stephen Wallace Murray (great-grandson of the Dalkeith photographer, Thomas Wallace) for sending me the photograph above. Stephen tells me that the photograph is of Thomas Wallace, son of the Edinburgh photographer, Charles Wallace. However Thomas Wallace was born in 1855, so would have been considerably older than in the photo above by the time that the Misses Bramwell & Ferguson opened their studio in Edinburgh, 1925 to 1928. Perhaps this photo is a copy of the original photo, or perhaps it has just been put into a new mount.
