Hill & Adamson Images
James Craig Annan [1864-1946],
the second son of the photographer
Thomas Annan [1829-1887]
revived interest in Hill & Adamson's images when he reproduced several of
them in photogravure.
James Craig Annan became a member of the
Linked Ring, a select group of photographers who promoted the view that
photography is an art. Some of Annan's photogravures of the Hill &
Adamson images were published in Steiglitz'
magazine, Camera Work, in the early 20th century. |
