Here is a view looking towards the centre of Edinburgh from Corstorphine Hill which lies about two miles to the West of Edinburgh, immediately to the South of the road from Edinburgh to Edinburgh Airport and Glasgow. This view appears to have sheep in the foreground. Corstorphine Hill is now the home of Edinburgh Zoo. In the distance, towards the right hand side of this sketch is Edinburg Castle rock with Arthur's Seat in Queen's Park behind. |
