Paul Shillabeer was a professional photographer in Edinburgh from 1944 until 1969.  His studio address given in the trade directories for the years 1956 to 1967 was 69 Hanover Street, 

The directories also gave this as the address of Scott Brothers from 1963 to 1965.

Archive of Shillabeer Photography

Paul Shillabeer was the Official Photographer of the Edinburgh Festival from 1948 until 1973.

The National Library of Scotland has a large archive of glass negatives, negatives, prints and slides by Paul Shillabeer.  The archive is divided into 69 parts and includes portraits and industry and crafts in Scotland as well as his photography of the Edinburgh Festival.

Book Illustrations

Paul Shillabeer provided illustrations for Alexander Rutherford's book, Edinburgh in Colour, published 1959 in the Jarrold colour book series.
