Studios throughout Britain

A & G Taylor described themselves as:

'The largest photographers in the world'

They had studios throughout Britain, and a few overseas.  The Historical Group of the Royal Photographic Society has published a list of dates and addresses of A & G Taylor's studios*

A & G Taylor's Edinburgh studio was based at 63 Princes Street and operated from 1878 until 1910.

Cabinet Prints and Cartes de Visite

I have many cabinet prints and cartes de visite from the studios of A & G Taylor, including several from their Edinburgh studio -  i.e. where  Edinburgh is the most prominent name on the back of the photo.

I have not yet had chance to add any of these to the EdinPhoto web site, other than the one below, which I found to be interesting because of the J R Robertson name added to the back of the picture with an ink stamp.
