The new apartments above were built opposite the Esso petrol station at Canonmills, about a mile to the north of the centre of Edinburgh on land that was occupied by a stone works up to 1991 and sues as a Christmas Tree warehouse for the next few years until building of the apartments commenced in 1996. 1991 1996 2004 The low building at the right-hand edge of the 2006 picture is the side of the Canonmills Baptist Chapel. This March 2006 picture was taken in better weather than the small November 2004 picture above. |
