The new apartments above were built opposite the Esso petrol
station at Canonmills, about a mile to the north of the centre of
Edinburgh on land that was occupied by a stone works up to 1991 and
sues as a Christmas Tree warehouse for the next few years until
building of the apartments commenced in 1996.
