View from Princes Street

This view looks across Princes Street to a floodlit Edinburgh Castle.  The photo was taken at the end of Edinburgh Festival on September 4, 1971.

The statue in the foreground is to the Royal Scots Greys.  It is in Princes Street Gardens opposite the junction of Princes Street and Frederick Street.

There appear to be some reflections in this photo, as if the photo had been taken perhaps from inside a bus.  This seems surprising for a 'Scotsman' photo.
