Thank you to Brien Towler for allowing me to reproduce this picture that he took while in Edinburgh in 1962. There has been little change in this view of Edinburgh Castle from Princes Street over the years. However, the transport in the street gives a good indication of the period. This photo was taken before the days of parking meters in Edinburgh, when parking was allowed at the edge of Princes Street. |
