Cartes de
Visite
Most cartes de visite from the
19th century were of individual sitters in studios, but P Nimmo and Son
appear to have produced quite a lot of cartes de visite of small groups.
Above there are two styles of
back, one in several shades of yellow (and pink, not illustrated).
Only one of the cartes de visite above is dated.
Some of the furniture in
Nimmo's studio appears to have been quite distinctive. See the group
with five children and the man seated. |
