Here is the cover of a 'balloon map' as it was described.  The map opens out until it is five times as wide as its cover.

The cover has an illustration of the Forth Bridge.  The bridge was officially opened in 1890.  The map sold for 1d in 1907.  (There were 240 pennies in £1.)
