During World War One I find the industrial photos of the early 20th century interesting. They often include far more workers than would be seen in one of today's automated factories. In fact, I believe that photos such as this one, taken during World War One, may well have been taken to be included in the company's catalogue to impress potential customers. In some of these photos the whole workforce has been brought out onto the shop floor, and given tools to hold - not always in the correct manner." |
