"Here is a copy of one of T P Lugton's photographs.  It dates from the turn of the 20th century and shows a single deck horse drawn tram approaching the junction of High Street and Bath Street, Portobello. It is identified as Poulton Series 0548 and printed on paper.

Horse drawn trams operated from Edinburgh (Waterloo Place) to Portobello between 1875 and 1902."
