Goldenacre Postcards

Date of Postcards?

A little more research will be needed to discover the dates of the postcards in this set.  When was Burns Stationery Depot based at Goldenacre?  The Edinburgh & Leith Post Office Directories may help to answer this question.

Some of the vehicles, shops, etc. in this set of cards may help to establish the date of the cards.  There are a couple of cards of the Boswall estate in this set.  The estate looks to me to have been recently built in these photos.  If so, the postcards would have been published around the 1920s.

"I was interested to see the set of Granton postcards on the EdinPhoto website.  The Granton History Group was given some of these cards and others some time back.  We made comparative views in 2004, and added them to this page on the Granton History Group web site."
