Series, had backs similar to the one above. The
publisher is not named on any of the cards.
All had views of Edinburgh, taking up
half of the front of the card and had quotations relating to
Edinburgh.

1899-1902
The cards are all 5.5 ins x 3.5 ins,
a size that was introduced in 1899, replacing the earlier
'court card' size of 4.75 ins x 3.5 ins.
The backs of the cards have undivided
backs, so date from the period up to 1902, when only the
address, but no message, could be written on the backs of
postcards.
So these postcards are likely to
have been published between 1899 and 1902. |
