The back of the
Postcard
This postcard writer
in 1905 seem to be still coming to terms with writing a message on
the back of a postcard. This was first permitted a couple of
years earlier.
Here, the writer has
turned the card upside down before starting his message, and has
completed the message by writing 'across the message' as can be
found on some early letters. The message here reads:
"I send this view that perhaps will remind
you of the happy days gone by. Wishing Jim is all better and
the rest keeping well. Kind regards. J G B.
How sad about Mr Scott. Saw Mrs S
tonight and she is looking for a letter from you. Thinks her
letter to you has not reached."
